  1. In regards to Bam and his work Kindness and Decency, I found it a correct representation of how society has strayed from being kind to following a say of behavior devoid of heart felt human interaction. I understand the feelings of those who feel left out by the system, when money is not the focus or the center of power in an individuals life. It is a great piece.

  3. Kindness and Decency by BAM – an intriguing look into the inner dialogue ever – present but often enough easily ignored. We all have our struggles; we all deal in our own way; we all reach the end of the proverbial rope. The more we get sucked up into our inner dialogue, the less our mind is present. The less it is present, the less it is available to engage with rigor in the exercise of empathy and understanding, two necessities of decency and kindness. A great piece, with momentum and a palpable climax. Very well done.

  4. I just finished Kindness and Decency by BAM. Pretty fascinating ideas presented in a short story. Was it kindness and decency that saved the day, or a lack thereof that caused the tragedy to begin with, or both? Or neither? How do we deal with folks who seem to demand kindness and decency but have none to offer anyone else? Good story!

  5. BAM’S Kindness & Decency! A truly haunting tale that is the epitome of our times. Both characters are easy to relate to. Both misunderstood with their own values. One a hero, for basically doing nothing. The other a villain just because he wants what so many others have. Great stuff!

  6. BAM’s Kindness & Decency is a hauntingly depressing tale of modern times when everyday life is capable of taking twists and turns in unexpected ways. Well done!

  7. Kindness and Decency flows like a stick of butter across a hot plate. The simple characters presented before us are able to be related to almost instantly. You feel the pain of each and know it could easily be you. You see the world through their eyes and know it is a reality for many at different times and in different places. It resonates inside of one self and adds a weight to the mind that even now I cannot quite shake as if I am now different than before.
Thank you BAM for a story that was short and all too bitter sweet.

  8. I loved Kindness and Decency. You are drawn into the dark corners of the characters’ minds. Tragic or heroic acts seem logical from their perspectives.

  9. BAM’s short story, Kindness and Decency, is a cautionary tale of how, with the slightest provocation, the disturbed mind of a troubled youth can have fatal consequences. A chilling reminder of how kindness, or a lack thereof, can result in both heroism and tragedy.

  10. BAM’s “Kindness and Decency” truly captures what’s going on in today’s society. The author just grabs your attention by creating characters that we can relate to.
