  1. Bonnie Lykes, what wonderful words you have put together in this insightful poem to women! There is something I have always loved about the expression “ball-peen hammers.”

  2. Bonnie Lykes’ work here is mesmerizing, energizing, an explosion of metaphor and beauty. A voice to be heard and heard again.

  3. “Words are traffic cones to these contortions.” If I had to choose one, I think this is my favorite phrase from Bonnie Lykes poem in issue 138, The Secret Language of Women. It caused me to paused and laugh. No arched eyebrow, I have not mastered that yet, but many non-verbal others! Well done Bonnie and congratulations! Your use of language make me want to stop everything and write a poem.
